From the café bar car to three-course meals with champagne — here's what to eat and drink on the Eurostar.
No meal is included, but you have two options: bring your own food (there are no restrictions on what you can bring) or visit the café bar car in the middle of the train.
The café bar car sells:
Prices are comparable to airport food — expect to pay £3–4 for coffee, £5–7 for a sandwich, and £5–6 for beer or wine. Card payments accepted.
A light meal is served at your seat, included in the ticket price. The typical service includes:
Meals are served within the first hour of the journey. You can also visit the café bar car for additional items.
A full three-course meal is served at your seat by a dedicated team:
Morning services replace the three-course meal with a full cooked breakfast.
Unlike flying, there are no restrictions on bringing food and drink on board. You can pack a full picnic, a bottle of wine, a takeaway from the St Pancras food court — whatever you like. There are no liquid limits on trains. This is one of the great advantages of rail over air travel.
St Pancras has excellent food options on the main concourse — grab something before you go through security. The departure lounge café is more limited and slightly more expensive.
Standard Premier and Business Premier meals can accommodate dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.) if notified in advance. Contact Eurostar at least 48 hours before travel to arrange this. The café bar car has some options for common dietary needs but selection is limited.
